Hamilton Boxing Club (HBC) Signs Its First Pro Fighter:   Jake ‘DP’ Depledge

 

Dubai, UAE – 15 March 2025 – Hamilton Boxing Club (HBC), Dubai’s newest boxing powerhouse dedicated to elite training, fighter development, and athlete representation, is proud to announce the signing of its first professional fighter, Jake ‘DP’ Depledge. With an impressive amateur record of 11-4 and a professional debut win (1-0), Depledge is now training under HBC’s high-performance program, marking the start of an exciting new era for the club.

Founded in 2024, HBC is more than just a boxing gym—it’s a fighter-first institution, built to develop and manage elite athletes across all levels of the sport. With a focus on technical coaching, professional fight camp management, and long-term athlete welfare, HBC aims to bridge the gap between grassroots boxing and professional success in the Middle East.

Based within Hamilton Sport Science, HBC offers a fully integrated training ecosystem, combining strength & conditioning, rehabilitation, sports science, and fight strategy under one roof. Led by experienced coaches Taylor Hamilton and Ben Crook, the club has quickly become a hub for fighters looking for structured, top-tier coaching and career management.

Jake Depledge: A Fighter Ready for the Next Chapter

At 31 years old, Jake ‘DP’ Depledge, originally from the United Kingdom, has built a reputation for his technical skill, resilience, and fight IQ. Competing at cruiserweight, he has consistently showcased his ability to perform under pressure, making him a standout talent in the boxing circuit. When asked about his new chapter with HBC, Jake said:

"From my first bout of boxing within the British army, conducting many bouts within the military, then moving to Sweden allowing for adjustment and a change in boxing styles, allowed me to refine myself and engage with a multitude of different coaching styles and boxing techniques. 

​

Thus now moving onto chapter 3, here in the UAE, and I’m excited to be starting with Hamilton Boxing Club, under the watchful eye of Taylor the sports scientist keeping me strong, healthy and ready, and of course Coach Ben the tactician behind the shots.

We will look to engage 2025, carrying the HBC flag."

 

What’s Next for HBC & Jake?

With full-time training now underway, discussions are progressing with ALAX Promotions, Gulf Boxing Operations (GBO), and other regional fight promoters to secure Jake’s next bout.

While Depledge has fought at cruiserweight, his focus is now on competing at light-heavyweight, with Hamilton Sport Science & HBC guiding his development to ensure peak performance in the new weight class.

​

Beyond this milestone, HBC is actively scouting emerging talent, aiming to build a roster of elite fighters and establish a professional pathway for boxers in the UAE and beyond.
